World Rave Off Service Rules

1. General provisions

  1. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the rules for using the website available at www.worldraveoff.com (“Website”), including:
    a) creating a user account,
    b) using the functionalities of the Website,
    c) registering participants for the World Rave Off 2026 dance tournament (“Event”), which will take place on 9 May 2026 in Wrocław,
    d) subscribing to the newsletter,
    e) rules for publishing image/likeness,
    f) rules for the processing of personal data.
  2. The owner and administrator of the Website is Shuffle Dance Magdalena Miękus with its registered office at Krakowska 29C, NIP (Tax ID): 8322083792, e-mail: info@shuffledance.pl
  3. Using the Website constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

2. Definitions

  1. Administrator – the owner of the Website and the organiser of the Event.
  2. User – a natural person using the Website, holding an account or registering for the Event.
  3. Account – an individual user profile created on the Website.
  4. Newsletter – e-mail messages sent to Users who have given their marketing consent.
  5. GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

3. Technical requirements

  1. Using the Website requires:
    • access to the Internet,
    • a device that supports a web browser,
    • an active e-mail address,
    • cookies enabled.
  2. The Administrator does not guarantee full functionality of the Website on every device or browser.

4. Creating a user account

  1. Creating an account is voluntary, but necessary in order to register for the Event.
  2. An account is created by completing the registration form, which requires providing:
    • first name and last name,
    • country of origin,
    • e-mail address,
    • phone number,
    • a link to a social media profile,
    • a password that meets the security requirements.
  3. The User undertakes to provide true and up-to-date data.
  4. Creating an account requires acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
  5. The account is activated via a link sent to the e-mail address provided.
  6. Each User may only have one account.
  7. The User may delete their account at any time by sending a request to the Administrator’s e-mail address.

5. Registration for the Event

  1. Registration is only possible after logging into the account.
  2. In order to register, the User must complete the registration form and pay the fee.
  3. The Administrator may refuse registration in the following cases:
    • providing false data,
    • violation of these Terms,
    • no available places for the Event.
  4. The Administrator may contact Users by phone or e-mail in matters related to the organisation of the Event.

6. Newsletter

  1. Subscribing to the newsletter is voluntary.
  2. Subscription requires providing an e-mail address and ticking the marketing consent checkbox.
  3. The User may unsubscribe at any time.
  4. The newsletter may contain organisational information, promotional content and materials from partners.

7. Rules for publishing image/likeness

  1. By registering for the Event, the Participant agrees to:
    • having their image recorded in the form of photos and video recordings during the Event,
    • the free use of their image by the Administrator in promotional, marketing and informational materials, including on the website, in social media and in printed materials.
  2. Consent may be withdrawn at any time; however, this does not affect the lawfulness of publications made before the withdrawal.
  3. In the case of minors, the consent of a parent or legal guardian is required.

8. Liability of the User and the Administrator

  1. The User undertakes to:
    • not share their login and password with third parties,
    • use the Website in accordance with the law and good practices,
    • not post on the Website any content that is offensive, illegal or misleading.
  2. The Administrator shall not be liable for:
    • technical interruptions resulting from system maintenance,
    • technical problems on the User’s side,
    • consequences of the User providing untrue data,
    • damage caused by force majeure.
  3. The Administrator reserves the right to block an account in the event of a breach of these Terms.

9. Complaints

  1. Complaints regarding the operation of the Website or registration should be sent to the Administrator’s e-mail address.
  2. Complaints will be handled within 14 days.
  3. The response will be sent to the User’s e-mail address.

10. Processing of personal data (GDPR)

  1. The controller of personal data is Shuffle Dance Magdalena Miękus.
  2. Data will be processed for the following purposes:
    • creation and management of the account,
    • registration for and participation in the Event,
    • sending the newsletter (if consent has been given),
    • publishing the image/likeness (if consent has been given),
    • fulfilment of legal obligations.
  3. The User has the right to:
    • access their data,
    • rectification,
    • erasure,
    • restriction of processing,
    • data portability,
    • object to processing,
    • lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
  4. Data will be stored for the following periods:
    • for the duration of the account,
    • for the time necessary to handle the Event,
    • until consent is withdrawn (newsletter, image/likeness),
    • for the period required by applicable law.

11. Cookies

  1. The Website uses cookies in order to ensure its proper operation, for analytics and for content personalisation.
  2. The User may change cookie settings in their browser; however, this may affect the functioning of the Website.

12. Copyright

  1. All content on the Website (graphics, texts, photos, logos) is the property of the Administrator or its partners and is legally protected.
  2. Copying and distributing content without the Administrator’s consent is prohibited.

13. Amendments to the Terms

  1. The Administrator may introduce amendments to these Terms.
  2. Information about amendments will be published on the Website or sent to Users.
  3. Continued use of the Website after the amendments have been introduced constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
